With a heart overflowing with peace and joy, Tataya Radtke's passion for life is evident in everything she does and most profoundly in her devotion to family and her love for yoga. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, she spent the best part of her childhood in a mango tree and learned to speak English at age six.

Tataya began her training in the womb of yoga, India and possesses a total of eight years of education in Hatha, Ashtanga and Anusara yoga. She has studied yoga on several continents and has taught yoga internationally since 2003.

Tataya's love for humanity, genuine care and concern for her community and commitment to excellence provide her the power and strength to inspire those around her each day. Joette Byrd Joette Byrd - Yoga Instructor
Jo has been studying and practicing yoga for four years. It was love at first asana. Jo was immediately taken by the comprehensive nature of yoga. When she is on the mat, her mind settles and focuses on the moment, and she tries to carry that with her throughout the day. She appreciates the diversity found in different yoga styles, but more importantly, she relishes those unifying principles that hold them together. Through a strong personal practice, Jo continues to explore and enjoy all the openings that yoga can create, in the body, mind and spirit.
Jo is certified in Vinyasa and Hatha with an emphasis on alignment. Considering herself a lifelong student of yoga, she is continuing to study with Tias Little 500 level certification program. She's done workshops with Richard Freeman, Gary Kraftsow, Tias Little, Patricia Walden, Eddie and Nikki Modestino, all have influenced her personal yoga practice, all are world renowned, but Thomas and Tataya are her most inspiring teachers, founders of Yoga Body and Balance.

Rosina Paolini Rosina Paolini - Yoga Instructor
A fellow instructor introduced me to yoga 10 years ago. My aim is to empower the human race so that we may care for Mother Earth and Father Sky. Being mindful of my surroundings is an ongoing adventure. I try to find the middle way, which is challenging for a strong-minded, vocal person that I tend to be.
My background started with Thomas Radtke, which led me on the path to find diversity in yoga. Learning different methods from a variety of instructors expands my creativity and knowledge. In my travels I find yoga studios in every city or country I visit. My most formal training is with Tias Little. Tias is constantly evolving his practice and methods of teaching, so goes the pathway of life. I have completed 2 levels of the Tias Little training and look forward to completing his teacher training.

Amy Sauer Amy Sauer - Yoga Instructor
Let’s be honest. Amy began her yoga journey the way a lot of people do: not in a studio or fitness center, but in front of a “Yoga for Beginners” VHS tape in her parents’ basement. But as the world moved from VHS to Wii Fit, she was moving on, too, finding her true inspiration in Vinyasa Yoga and her true teacher in Judi Olivetti. After studying with Judi for 3+ years, she began teaching her own classes and discovering the joy of helping others rediscover their bodies through yoga. She is learning how to be a better teacher (and student!) of yoga every day. She is terribly excited to be teaching at Yoga, Body & Balance in July.
Amy lives in Lincoln with her non-yogi boyfriend and sometimes-yogini cat. She teaches for the UNL Rec Center, Lions gate Apartments, and Madonna Pro Active.

Debby Buck Debby Buck - Yoga Instrtuctor
I have been practicing yoga asana for over 17 years. I have been practicing meditation and mindfulness a bit longer. My first introduction to yoga was with a teacher inspired by B.K.S. Iyengar. The union of anatomy, alignment, mindfulness and meditation resonated deeply within me. More recently I have taken mindfulness meditation training and continued to expand my experiences with different types of yoga asana practices from Vinyasa Flow classes to Anusara yoga. In April 2011 I completed my 200-hour level teacher training with Theresa Murphy from One Tree Yoga in Omaha, NE. I will continue to work towards my 500-hour level teacher training with Tias Little. In July 2011 I completed the Basic Course for Yoga for the Special Child with Sonia Sumar. I will continue to train with Sonia in order to complete my 200-hour teacher training in Yoga for the Special Child. My hope for the future is to continue to integrate an all-encompassing yoga practice as a way to live life.
Currently, I am teaching Beginner/Basic yoga and a combination of hatha and flow that I call Eclectic yoga. I teach alignment and anatomy in my classes and use props as a means of physical embodiment to the verbal cues I give.
I am also teaching private sessions to children with special needs and hope to eventually create integrated group classes with children with special needs and typically developing children.

Al	icia Berndt Alicia Bernadt - Yoga Instructor
Alicia first discovered yoga and began practicing nearly 10 years go. It was love at first savasana. She began attending teacher trainings in 2010 and later received her 200 hour certification at the Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas. The experience was one of the best she's ever had. Yoga on the beach is incredible, but yoga can be incredible and breath-taking anywhere. Alicia is honored to be joining the list of incredible teachers at Yoga Body Balance.

Tanya Shaw Tanya Shaw - Yoga Instructor
Being a long distance runner and a cyclist I was drawn to yoga by its physicality. Immediately I was wooed by its grace and ultimately held by its connectedness. As my practice evolved I had a strong nudge to share what I was learning. I have now been teaching as a sub for about 2 years. My training at this point in my teaching journey is a collection of self-study and sitting under the teaching of several fabulous teachers. However I will be starting a 200 level yoga teacher certification through YBB. I would consider my own teaching style to be rather eclectic, as I draw from many styles and schools of yoga. At YBB I am EXTREMELY excited and grateful to be opening another door in my teaching journey to that of teaching prenatal yoga. I practiced yoga for my entire pregnancy with the younger of my two, who is now 6 months old. It was during my prenatal practice that I felt EMBACED BY YOGA. I hope to guide people in their journey to a place of feeling embraced.

ßJudi Olivetti Judi Olivetti - Yoga Instructor
Judi is an open, sensitive, patient, kind, creative, passionate, but above all playful human being. She loves sharing yoga with all ages from 3-85 year olds. She loves learning different styles of yoga and infusing these into her classes for all ages. Judi began her yoga study at a young age with her great aunt Nita Nickerson who was a student of Indra Devi. She has since studied under Tias Little, Christy Burnette, Desiree Rumbaugh, Cora Wen, Amy Mathews, and Fran Ubertini. She received her 200 hour certification from Amazing Yoga Studio, a Baron Baptiste yoga studio. Judi is a Certified Yoga Kids Facilitator and has been teaching since 2000.

Megan Walker Megan Walker - Yoga Instructor
I began my yoga practice in 2007, and received my 200-hour certification in 2010 with Theresa Murphy. I have also received an additional 100+ hours of training through attending workshops and teacher trainings with Tias Little of the Prajna School of Yoga. I continue to attend workshops and classes from a variety of teachers from all over, and I learn something new from every teacher I take a class or workshop with. My own practice has evolved into incorporating a variety of styles including Vinyasa, yin, hatha, and Bikram yoga. My teaching style reflects my own personal approach to the practice; one that is playful, eclectic, and transformative. Deep bow of gratitude to all the teachers, the teachings, and the practice.

Tiffany Sheffield Tiffany Sheffield - Yoga Instructor
With as much as I love yoga now, surprisingly, yoga was not love at first sight. Something, however, kept calling me back to try different classes and teachers. Slowly I began finding my way to the mat more and more often. I got serious about my yoga practice in 2006 but only for the physical workout. Grace led me to YBB in 2010. I immediately fell in love with the studio and discovered how deep my yoga practice could go. I completed my 200 hour Inner Power Yoga The Blissipline certification here at YBB in 2011 and am thrilled at the opportunity to teach here. When not on the mat, I cherish spending time with my little yogini daughter, learning new things and discovering new adventures.

Michelle Schaffert Michelle Schaffert - Yoga Instructor
I have lived in Lincoln for ten years, during that time I obtained my BA in Graphic Design from Doane College. I found yoga around five years ago when my mother was terminally ill. It helped me to deal with the grief and give me peace of mind. Once I found the mat I haven’t been able to leave. I have known since I started practicing I wanted to share this beautiful practice with everyone. I have my 200hr. certification through Yoga World Reach. During my free time I spend with my fiancé our three crazy dogs and two cats. There is never a dull moment in our house and I love it that way. My life is about yoga. I look forward to sharing the practice with you.

Kari Watson Kari Watson - Yoga Instructor
Kari first stepped onto the mat in 1994 at UNL, and the dance of breath and movement took hold in her heart. Her love for yoga grew out of her interest in studying the body while in nursing school. Soon after, she did one-year apprenticeship with local yoga teacher Kathleen Wingard, and then went back to UNL to teach the same class in which she first started. Kari has taught yoga at Heritage Yoga Center, Prairie Hill Learning Center, Rousseau Elementary School, and Prairie Life Fitness Center. Kari’s favorite teaching experience was during summer camp at Prairie Hißßll. Each class would begin out under a big tree, where we would make cat, cow, and puppy sounds while posing. She was the student, too, learning how playful yoga can be. That experience enriched her teaching. After many years, Kari is now finding that enrichment by taking the 200-hour Inner Power Yoga teacher training. While in nursing school, she was strongly interested women’s health and is excited to teach prenatal yoga.
